Barentz is a global specialty ingredients distributor for the food, performance materials, pharmaceutical, personal care and animal nutrition markets.

Established in 1953, the company is headquartered near Amsterdam in the Netherlands and operates in more than 70 countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas, distributing specialty ingredients from more than 2,000 manufacturers (‘Principals’) to more than 26,000 customers. Barentz has a diversified portfolio of products, end markets, suppliers and customers and operates across the following verticals: Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care and Performance Materials.

In addition to its global distribution network, Barentz has a series of formulation facilities through which its ingredient experts provide value-added services such as R&D, pre-mixing, blending and ingredient formulation testing, together with technical support for both its Principals and customers.
