Restaurant Brands Iberia (RBI) operates Burger King, Popeyes and Tim Hortons brands in Southern Europe. If you’ve eaten in any of these brands’ restaurants in Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar or Andorra, it’s been at one of Restaurant Brands Iberia owned or franchised restaurants. With over 950 of its own, and over 350 franchised restaurants, RBI has a large presence in all of Spain’s major cities. It is also present across Portugal and is expanding to Italy through the launch of the Popeyes brand. It’s one of the largest quick service restaurants (QSR) companies in Southern Europe, and employs over 20,000 people.

RBI is in a market-leading position in the region, running established brands with high brand awareness. This means it is well placed to grow in Iberia and Italy’s under-penetrated QSR markets, amidst rising wealth inequality and increasing demand for home food consumption and delivery through direct-to-consumer apps. We’re working with the company’s strong and experienced management team to help leverage its digital and marketing capabilities, supported by its value-for-money proposition to drive this growth and increase market share. We’re also lending our environmental, social and governance (ESG) expertise to support the company to develop and secure its supply chain traceability and commitment to renewable energy to maintain and extend its industry-leading ESG credentials.
