The Numericable Group comprised Numericable, the French cable operator, and Completel, the business-to-business infrastructure-based telecommunications operator.

Numericable was the result of the consolidation, initiated by Cinven and Altice, of several cable operators including Numericable, Altice One and Noos UPO.

Numericable successfully listed on the NYSE Euronext Paris in November 2013. In April 2014, Numericable announced the acquisition of SFR, the second largest mobile operator in France. The SFR-Numericable group created a French champion in high-speed broadband and the convergence of fixed and mobile networks. In April 2014, Cinven sold a minority shareholding in Numericable to Altice and rolled its remaining minority stake in Numericable into Altice, which Cinven fully realised in March 2016.
